Default Electric Fan owners with 6.0, What's you engine temp?

I've had the 282 FAL fans on my truck for about 3 weeks now. The come on 100% when the engine temp gets 1 tick below 210 degrees on the engine temp gauge. I was thinking the engine temp should be 3 or 4 ticks (198-200 degrees?) below the 210 mark.

Is anybody else getting cooler engine temps?

Do you have the flex-a-lite fan and are you using the vsc controller?

I have a 5.3 with 5500 cfm fans on a custom bracket, running a 160 stat. Hot as it gets is like yours just below the 210 mark on the gauge. But when I read the temp from a scanner it only shows 188-192 degrees at that point. My gauge must be off a little. Just something to think about.

This is probably useless to you since there are so many variables, but in my 95 K1500 with a 7.4L suburban radiator in it, my 6.0 stays below 210 always when moving, and when sitting still in hot weather for a long time will creep above 210 and then the fans kick on high. The temp falls back down below no more than 30 sec after the fans kick on high. This is with FAL fans controlled by the PCM in 2 stages.
