Default Limited Slip/Locker Posi?

I'm putting a built 4L60E tranny and a Radix in my Tahoe in a week or so. My question is should I put a diff in my truck? It's not 4 wheel drive so I'm not worries about off road, just quicker times on take off. I can't get the tires to spin as it is now, they're too big (see sig) The blower and new tranny may not get them spinning either, so do I really need a posi? Would it reduce stress on the driveline? Thanks for any help.
Chris

The weak link in our SUV's is the driveline - the 4L60E, and the 8.6" 10-bolt rear. You're doing what you can with the tranny, that's good. If you have a G80 (gov-lock) carrier, you really should replace it with an Eaton, Auburn, or Detroit LSD. When the G80 goes out (it is very weak) it can take your built tranny with it, so yes, if you have the G80 you should replace it.

So what's a fair price for a limited slip diff? Any brand shown to be better than another?

It's $350-$400 for a brand-new one. I did lots of research and decided on the Eaton. Others like the Detroit unit. Still others like the Auburn, but I have heard more bad stuff about Auburn units than the others. It appears that Auburn runs a great discount program for vendors, so they get pushed more often. Another plus for the Eaton is that it is rebuildable.
