Well i went back home this weekend and got a call from a friend.. long story short he needed money and had the gun listed above, offered 300 bucks and said yes. Picked it up and kinda puked a little as i saw someone had thrown fake pearl grips and chromed it out. but i ran all the numbers and found it was made in 1945 and 110,400 where made that period of time. All the markings are their and matching. still cant decide if im gonna sell it or keep it, but either way here are some crappy pics... btw taking pictures of a chrome gun is pretty tough :)

I'd say ditch the grips for something less gay and keep it. Those old 1911's are getting really hard to come by and make for really good shooters.

I agree.. you got a good one.. no ceracoat it or something. Shiny = not cool for me.

Yeah I'm thinking about ordering just standard black grips. And ill see if I can find an original clip for it too.

I hate the shiny as well.. since im not very familiar with guns at all i take it theirs some gun shops that will do that ceracoat right?

yea just about any gunshop can lead you in the right direction.
