Fairly new to the gun world, bought M&P 9mm
This is the first pistol I've ever bought and so far it's great! Im not new to shooting guns, but I'm definitely a newbie when it comes to owning and maintaining them. I did buy a bore snake and some cleaner/oil combo. So far I've only put 100 rounds of Winchester 115 grain through it.
Is there any tips/hints/tricks to this S&W M&P 9mm I should know about? I've shot several other handguns and this has been one of my favorites so far!

I've never owned one but S&W has a great reputation. Just make sure you follow the instructions that come with the gun in reference to cleaning and oiling. Some guns like Glocks require very little oil while others like some of my Sigs need quite a bit more. Either way be safe and have some fun!

Yup bought it brand new and so far 200rds with ZERO issues.
Only thing I'm not sure I like is the safety trigger. Has a lot of take up before it fires. Aside from getting some hi-viz sights and maybe doing something about the trigger, it doesn't need touched at all.
Next purchase might be the Ruger AR556!

Check out the Apex trigger kits. They're absolutely awesome and have a million different options. Tupperware guns in general have crappy triggers but I've been very pleased with my Apex kit in my M&P 45.
I'd recommend against the Ruger AR. Much better quality guns can be had for the same money. When you get ready to buy post up and I can help you.

I know MSRP is like 750-800 but my buddy's dad is a dealer so I can get it just over cost. What other ARs are good in the 600-800 range? Or am I not setting a realistic cost for myself?
Here's the model Im talking about.
