quick tech question about PCV

i think i already know the answer to this but i'll go ahead and ask.

I'm running a vic jr intake with a ls6 valley cover. the pcv from the valley cover is 3/8, but i cant find anywhere on the intake to plug in to pull a little vacuum on the crank case.

in the very back of the intake there is a 3/8 hole threaded for the brake booster. do you guys think it owuld hurt to put a 3/8 tee back there and run the booster from one side, then the PCV vacuum on the other side? the only alternative that i see other than going this route is to tap a new 3/8 hole into the intake somewhere.

does the crank case vent pull enough air to effect the brake performance if they are both drawing for

You should be fine with the 3/8 tee. The brake booster stores vacuum for your brakes so i wouldnt worry a bout it.

hell, now i can't find a 3/8 npt with a barbed nipple on each end of the tee. may just have to go for a 3/8 npt on each end and clamp it down.

Isnt the brake boostsr hose like 5/8"...?

You could also run a tee so that the straight part is going to the booster and the other to the pcv. But then you would beed a 3/8 npt and barbed end to join the two together.

to make sure i understand you correctly...you're saying a 3/8 barbed tee spliced into the booster line, then run the PCV to the 3rd side???

can anyone verify what size the booster line is? i was assuming it was 3/8 but i have my doubts now. it's on a 96 s10.

Yes that is correct. Splice it into the booster line. Checked my 91 s10 blazer and has the rubber hose 5/8" going to the booster.

yep. checked mine last night and it's a 5/8. what are the odds of finding a barbed tee that is 5/8 on the straignt side and 3/8 on the other...heading to summit:bang:
