Default 2000 cluster not working...but cluster is fine!

Its a 2000 15000 silverado with an automatic 4.8 with 113000 miles. About a month ago the cluster started going crazy and then it would randomly stop working. Well now it doesn't work at all but the cluster lights come on when I turn the lights on like it supposed too. Well I swapped clusters with another 2000 and it works perfectly and that cluster stops working in my truck. So I'm thinking its in the harness...right? Anyone ran into this issue and I have searched all these clusters threads and not finding any resolve. Any suggestions or diagnosising tricks would be helpful.

Possible ground issue? Check all the grounds from cab to block to frame.

Yea...I already started checking most of them, still have some under the cab to check though I don't think those would interrupt the cluster. Keep em coming!
