Quote from EFILive website by Blacky .

"The best solution is to use the RS232 serial link into FlashScan and get an exact digital wide band AFR value. The serial interface is being developed for the next major FlashScan firmware update. The LC1 will be the first wide band supported by FlashScan's RS232 interface."
I will stick it out with my Innovate product .

My laptop doesn't have a RS232 port and i've tried 2 different RS232-USB adapters messing with all the data rate's etc and failed to get them to work. I give up on Innovate.

Neither of my Laptops do either (have RS232) .
The RS232 is on the Innovate LC-1 cable and the cable that came with V2 has a RS232 to cat5 cable that hooks directly to the V2 unit .
I'm still sticking with Innovate .

V2 I think is referring to version 2 of EFI Live.

Cat5, is a type of wire, it is the same wire that are used in computer network. If you have a cable modem or DSL, it is the large telephone wire.

correct, it had 4 pairs of 22-gauge copper wire in it. commonly used in DSL/internet applications. also used in networking.

some use it now for general landline phone use

Category 5

My mistake it is actually a RJ-45 that the RS-232 uses on the V2 box , the Cat5 is for the OBDII connection , Sorry .

So, it sounds as if EFI is picking up the slack for the Innovative. Which is cool, At least everybody with innovative products that doesn't work have a solution, as long as they have EFI.
