I am not familiar with HPT. EFI Live can either do a calibration flash, or an entire flash. I'm curious to know if it still has the same issue when an entire flash is performed.

Yes, the same issues would occur whether it was a flash or write entire

Have you tried a replacement PCM?

They're cheap enough, about $100 with a factory flash.

Edit:

Do you have an aftermarket radio or anything that interfaces with the factory controls? Unplug it and try.

I did try a spare pcm I have with the same results, as far as an aftermarket radio goes, yes I have one. But it does not interface with any factory controls
