Default Tps issue

Headed To dallas and stuck in traffic at the moment.
Just had had the laptop hooked up and noticed after a couple hours on cruise then stopped dead still in traffic my TPS is showing 10.6%.
I restarted the computer to rule that out.
Still at 10.6.

Its done this before years ago and cant remember how i fixed it.
Something about like this:
Turn ign on and unplug tps sensor, turn key off and back on. Then turn it off and plug the tps sensor in. Then turn ign on.

Sound right?

When i get to the hotel ill try something.

BTW i was doin awesome on gas till this traffic jam. 300 miles amd just hit half tank. ~25mpg.

My truck has done this exact same thing, and I have a friend with a 2000 Silvy that has had it happen also. But it's been very intermittent, on both trucks. We both decided that it would be time to replace the TPS when the problem got worse.

Mine has only ever set the DTC and turned on the service engine soon light one time, about 2 months ago.

I believe the TPS is supposed to "self calibrate" at every engine startup. When it's working properly anyways...
