tow haul button wires
how does the button make the computer switch tunes? what im getting at is i want a to add a button so i can have a 2nd tune on my truck, and all i have is the computer, computer wiring, 5.3, and a 4l60e, nothing more from the newer pickup. can this be done or not.

As far as I know the tow/haul button changes the shifting parameters only. Find the pinout on ls1tech and you will see the pin on the pcm that you will use. I have heard of a switchable tune (whole thing) in HPT, but I don't have the software or know how to do that.

The tow haul button just switches transmission settings only.
I don't think you can do what you want to do. |
tow haul button only switches trans settings...you could prolly set it up to pull timiing if you did a cos5 but then you'd lose changing your shift patterns...basically you can't have two tunes at the flip of a switch like a diesel

i was just talkin about those little boxes like the EDGE that you can switch the tune on the fly. i don't know if you can make switchable tunes with efi live or not?...cos5 just alows you to flip a switch and pull timing i believ
