Default Swapping 00 to 03 cab

I am in the process of swapping cabs, I am going from a 00 silverado 1500 (lq4,4l80e) to a 03 2500hd (diesel). I will be reusing drivetrain from 00. The 2500hd cab appears to be complete minus the ecu and gauge cluster. Interior is all there, climate control, dash, powered seats and doors. None of the wiring is cut.
Couple questions -
1) can i throw in a 03 2500hd gauge cluster and it work ?
2) will the 00 ecu and 03 bcm work together?
3) is it impossible or be easier just to strip the 03 cab and put my 00 interior in ?

99-02 electrical is different from 03-07 classic. From 03-07 there are minor changes here and there when it comes to certain things.

I did some reading and looks like everything electrical is different. Id also have to switch to DBW throttle body from what I read. Looks like it will just be easier to throw all my electronics from the 00 into the 03 and call it done.
