Um, i believe a "2 step" set up is for manuals with turbos.

what you are really looking to put on is a trans brake.

I think plenty of guys on here run 2 steps with auto and a good stalled converter. MSD is a name mentioned alot.

Msd is the way to go. Takes a minute to put in and works well. It hits hard and really fast. Like make people duck and cover automatic machine gun fast lol.

I have the lingenfelter box that I'm using to pull timing and it says It can also do a 2 step but I haven't figured out exactly how to do it.

Yes, I'm running one. It helps considerably with me bracket racing. I couldn't cut a good light leaving from idle and stalled up was too inconsistent. I put a micro switch roller style on the side of the brake pedal. Ground wire (activation wire) runs through an on off switch then through the normally closed switch on the brake pedal. I flip main switch off for burnout, turn switch back on, pre stage, pump brake, bring up to set rpm slow (2200) make sure it stumbles around, roll in full stage. Top yellow comes on I put my foot to the floor. People duck and cover for fear of their lives as I stare that last yellow down. I see it light up and all I gotta do is get off the brake. Brakes release and 2 step deactivated.
Informational with a bit of dramatization...
One day it may throw my crank on the ground but the nice thing is I can move my light around by changing the rpm. 3000 I'll go red. Lower... I'll prob brake something at full boost lol.

It plugs in between the engine harness and the coil pack harness. In reality is longer then a minute to fully install but you can plug that in, set rpm, ground (or power the other wire) and it will activate
