Os = operating system. The factory operating system was upgraded in 2002 . Any good tuner should be able to upgrade it for you.

A wide band o2 sensor is usually used in place WITH the factory o2s, not as a replacement.

12212156 is the OS that i used.. Then did a Custom OS for 2 bar Speed Density tuning.. I bet you can get up around 26-28* timing if your Knock sensors and PCM play nice.

Your cam should lower dynamic compression, which should allow for more timing than stock. Your knock retard must be false.

Where do you find these operating systems new besides the dealer ship or used from a junk yard ebay craigs list?

any websites?

What rwhp/tq gains are typical going from 14* to 24* timing. 20ish?

The operating system is simply part of the tuning file (different years used different OS's). Think of it as Windows 8 vs. Windows 7... Your tuner should be able to get one and flash it in for you... When changing OS's, there are certain limitations as to which ones you can use (PCM size, DBW, trans, etc) and they have to be "full flashed" into the PCM. I have tons of them for EFILive, but not the other tuning software suites.

Filled the truck up with 93 octane NO ETHANOL today $82.58 haha

Had my tuner mess with it and he was able to get 26* of timing and mannnnn can I tell a difference. Holly S***

I guess the tomb-thumb cheap 87 is really some horrible fuel

Thanks for the input guys I think it is totally worth the extra money for this power difference

Glad to know it made a difference. 12* should definitely be noticeable
