Retrofitting OEM Cobalt SS Boost gauge.
I'm trying to figure out how to wire in an OEM Cobalt SS 20psi boost gauge into my 2010 Silverado. Where do I get a boost signal from?
your gonna have to get it from the MAP sensor..
now the fun part is figure out how the Colbalt uses it and go from there.. it might get its info from the ECM and not straight from the MAP sensor. Doesnt the Colbalt use a 2 or 2.5 BAR MAP? |
I think the Cobalts computer sends a pulse width signal to the gauge.
You might have some fun trying to figure it out then. i think the cobolts used the wierd ECM? arent they Direct injected?
yeah they are direct injected and 2.5 bar map.
i dont remember how they work, but they are an actual analogue gauge. possible their own box. i dont recall it going through the ecm
so where does c go is the question lol

Here is my old world here. It uses the ECM and BCM... Car will not even start without the boost gauge plugged in.
