Resetting Transmission Shift Adaptives?

If I do not have EFILive or HPT will I have to go to a dealership to get my transmission shift adaptives' reset?

We have a finicky harsh 1-2 shift that only happens at a narrow range throttle position.

Around 1/4 throttle or so it will be harsh. It's almost like you have to micro adjust to find it or make it repeat. a pain in the A.

If I get a GM tech to do it will I have to worry about my tune?

Not sure myself but I do have a spot in the throttle that hits real hard on 1-2 even with my converter. But it's never bothered me any.

Thanks, The thing is perfect but for this little pain in the A.

Log it and find out at what torque level it's shifting hard, then turn down the trans pressure at that torque level.

Will a log display a hard shift? And can this adjustment be done with a TechII?
