Default Reduced Engine Power

Hey folks, wanted to try and get to the bottom of my REP. I'm going to log a drive on the way home to see if it does it again. What should I log?

When does it do it? What is your setup? Any accompanying codes?

The amount of air you are ingesting is way more than the computer thinks it should be.

P1516, so I know it's related to tps and or throttle. I logged some channels, but I primarily noticed that my tps gives me percentage but not voltage. Voltage stays at zero the entire time. I have pulled out my fluke yet, but I should be seeing that 0-5v, which I'm not. It randomly does this, but I notice it mostly on the highway 75 percent of the time, about 25Percent on the road.

Can you pull the freeze frame data for the DTC? That may help.

You won't be able to log TPS voltage with HPT or EFILive on trucks pre GMT900.

Most common causes of P1516 are a weak throttle motor due to an internal break in the yellow or brown wires near the connector, weak engine harness ground, or a sticking throttle blade.

update, battery drained to zero, left in that condition for a certain amount of time, power battery up, no rep since this post. Upon inspection, no broken wires at the connector. will keep my eye on it.
