Anyways enough joking aside. Stew i am curious to see how you like that wideband and how it works with tuning. I came from old small block fords 2 decades ago and tuning carbs was an art back then, using a wideband would make things sooo much easier.

Anyways i am tuning in for results.

you guys wait to see what this new carb technology is worth. i have never seen a EFI engine rev as quickly as this dinosaur carb does....and i dont even know what the timing is at, or what my AFR was lol. i wont even get into nitrous distribution on standard GM efi intakes VS a single plane carb style. so i set my AFR with a screwdriver...my timing and transmission tables are no different than yours. sitting behind a laptop building custom curves based on rpm and map pressure....just extremely simplified.

it's come a long ways. no distributors anymore. MSD has you sitting on a laptop building the timing table however you want it. carburetors have adjustable emulsion circuits that you dail down for perfect drivability. getting this 236/242 110 lsa cam consisted of bolting down a carb and turning the key. no hesitation, no surging, no chasing my tail. it started and reved and fell back to idle perfect.

hell, on the carb i got, you dont even have to pull the bowls to change jets. i'll have a handy little tool that will make jet changes a breeze.
