Race mode button
I have my 2000 Silverado z71 tuned to where if I press the tow/haul button it puts it in race mode and downshifts and won’t shift until wot. I want to get a button that’s red and says something like “race mode” or something like that. Is this possible?

You want to modify your tow/haul button on the lever?
It probably wouldn't be to hard to splice into the tow/haul button wiring and put your own wire/button somewhere else.

I just want to take off the old one and replace it with a red anodized aluminum one that says “race mode”. I’d have no idea where I could get one custom made. Probably not possible but worth an ask!

The text part would be hard to find (or expensive), but there are switches that would probably be fairly easy to modify into the lever. Search for "anti vandal switch" for some of the nicer push button style, like found on this website, https://www.e-switch.com/product-catalog/anti-vandal
Probably be better to buy another shift lever that you can take apart and measure, to see what you need. I see a few places offer "custom engraving" but I can't imagine it would be that cheap...

Pretty sure anybody that does engraving (trophy shop for example) could engrave whatever you want onto whatever you have, within reason.
Find a switch you like that has enough area to accommodate the text and see what they can do.
