P1637 - Can Link ECM/ABSCM Circuit / Network Malfunction

???

would this be my ABS/PBRAKE light??? thats what I was thinking ..
I had some trans trouble last night, and didnt know if this had anything to do with it....

anybody?

Are there any ABS codes also or other codes also? It could be related to a trans or ABS problem...is the ABS light on?

My abs/brake light come on intermittently..
I can turn the truck off, and back on and it will go away..
but at the time of reading this DTC..
they where not on.

abs brake light means your speed sensors are going bad. me and bluecajun are having the same problems. i hear some guys get away with just pulling the sensors and cleaning them up and reinstalling them and they work fine without throwing those lights anymore.

did that..
mine is because of the smaller tires up front..
I think I figured it out tho, and it didnt throw the code since I have cleared it..
did the regearing formula..
tricked the computer into thinking I have 3.31 gears :)

my abs and brake light just came on after I installed my 4.10s. When I get my retune to fix the speedo will this prob go away? How did you trick the computer 01Thunder?

Ok I see now its a networking code. Most likley related to your intermittent ABS light. Most network codes are BS and to sensitive. All modules are polled every 30 sec, If they dont talk back they through a code. Most common during programing. I suspect the ABSMD triped once your light came on even though it was not on at the time you read the codes. Ignore the Network code and focus on Finding your ABS fault and you should be good.
