The stock 130A alternator isnt curring it anymore. Even with "The Big 3" wiring upgrade, Im only seeing 13.2-13.5V while driving around. Getting about 13.1 at idle. Looking at a 200A alternator like this one

I bought an ebay alternator a couple years ago and it turned out to be junk. Nothing to distinguish it as a 200A either, same part number as the 145... Be wary of them.

 

I bought one of those for my 03 silvy 3500 a couple years ago, to occasionally power a very big power inverter and air compressor.

I never tested it to confirm power output but did use it to run a window ac unit, fridge, computer, and tv when our power went out. Never had a problem with it.

Prior to it I burned up 3 145 amp alternators from orielly's.

 

if yuou want the BEST alt money can buy, go with dc power egineering, they product byfar outstands any others avail.!!! im running a xp270 alt right now, will do 270 amps @ idle, not @ 2200rpm like most companys state their claims at, or tryin mechman alternators those are only 2 places buy a alt from EVER
