Low ohm and high ohms injectors.
#1
Hi!
So i wanna put a turbo on my 2002 5.3 vortec silverado.
So now i need 42lbs injectors. So the thing is i have some injectors left from a stock supra (7mgte engine) those are 440cc injectors=42lbs injectors shoud be good for 688hp (536hp on 80%), but they are low ohms (means 2-3 ohms) but the injectors for our trucks are high ohm 11-14ohms right?.
So i heard that i can put a 10ohm resistor in to the powerwire to make it work.
Saw it here: http://www.lextreme.com/R&D%20Injector.htm
Have sombody done this already? Have sombody experience with that?
Because when it would work i dont need to spend that money to buy 8 new injectors.....
Best regards from switzerland.
