Jeep Project having issues
#1
i have a project where I put a LS1 (L59 version of the LM7) out a 2001 Silverado. I am finding that the PCM is a 2002 Silverado (was supposed to be a matched set) and put it in a Jeep wrangler. It runs great but I am concerned with the gas (lack of mileage, about9 to 11 MPG)
I am running 4:10 gears, headers, cold air with 33’s x 12.5x 15 tires. It does not work hard to push this down the road.
I bought a wiring harness from EFI Connection. New O2 sensors (AC delco ) and a guy that I thought knew what he was doing cut the o2 connectors off at the harness due to the stock O2’3 are a flat 4 pin connector. The harness had a 4 box pin. Talking to the guys at EFI Connection they said that it was the same as a Camaro.
So to the real question:
Do I need to use the truck O2 sensors or should I use the Camaro O2 sensor?
Is the PCM different between the cars and trucks?
The Chevy manual shows that there are two type of O2’s
O2 with case grounded sensors
And
O2 with isolated grounded sensors
Which one would be needed?
Thank you

Ok I am willing to go with that. How do you know which O2 it is programmed for? It came originality with the square one. and the guy that was helping said that we needed the Flat style. So I am just trying to figure out what is needed to make it right. (In short of buying a new harness) And they both use the same PCM. So it is a wiring reference as to what is done with the ground. I have the HP tuner and I could not find any reference other than turning them on or off.
