attached is the current tune and log file from today. I swapped in transmission stuff from a 2002 truck with 4l80e it was a stock file from hptuners repository.

used the show differences feature and only copied over transmission and transmission diag.]

Truck is still setting these dtcs and going into limp mode and will only shift between 2 and three when manually commanded with the shifter. it will not go into first if I select first.

but like before if I put the truck in park and read and clear the dtcs and then put it back in drive it will start back in first.

Well your IAT sensor is not working so you need to fix that for sure. Is your MAF plugged up?

Post up your original file and the file you did the segment swap with.

Tried just disabling that code p0785 in the DTC list and see what happens?

I am doing a Speed density tune not using maf so I set the Maf up to fail so it should not use the Maf for fueling. But what is strange is when I disabled the Maf codes (no error reported) that the truck went dead lean and would die as soon as I touched the gas pedal. And as soon as I re enabled the maf codes it went back to a good range on the wideband.

i will fix the iat sensor and try disabling that 0785 code tonight and log it and report my results

i have the iat sensor being being powered by the maf wires as i researched and found the 2 wires used in the stock maf that are used as an iat

I just know your pcm is not seeing the IAT sensor and it needs one for decent SD tuning.

You can't set MAF codes to no error reported. The MAF fail high needs to be set to 0hz and the 3 MAF dtc's need to be set to fail on first error. The point of speed density is to tell the computer the second it see's the fault to drop straight to speed density mode. That is why first error is the way they should be set.

here is current tune and log file with another PCM

I Fixed the IAT Sensor before logging

I went on alldata and followed their guidelines on checking wiring and it lead me to think that it was my pcm that was bad so I picked up another pcm out of an 01 Tahoe and licensed it and flashed my tune onto it

I set the 3 maf DTCs to Fail on First Error

I had already set Maf Fail High to 0.

still instantly getting the MAF codes which is fine and expected but I am also still getting the

P0740 Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit/Open (Pending)

P0785 Shift/Timing Solenoid (SES, Pending, Current)

So trans is still going into Limp mode and has me puzzled thourgholy now.

Trans is all 100% Rebuilt new electronics and all 0 miles on it

Nelson Conversion harness used and plugged in correctly

I read some people talking about the ignition switch can sometimes cause these issues but I checked all my ign fuses in the driverside door panel and all have power to both sides of the fuse when key is in the run position and my gauges work.

any help is more than appreciated.

When I disable those two trans codes
p0740 & p0785 the torque converter goes into lockup automatically and won't unlock so it will try to stall out and it still won't change gears aside from between 2 and 3 when manually commanded with the shifter
