How to test valve seals?
#5
Good suggestion. Thanks.
As to why I think they might be bad, well, I have oil smoke on start up, but, as explained in my other thread on that subject, this happened last winter for a month or so and then just went away. No more smoke on start up and no oil consumption between oil changes. Now it is happening again, 8-9 months later. I do not think valve seals go bad and then fix themselves for almost a year and then go bad again.
This is why I am looking for a way to test them.
Thank you one and all for your input.
