how to disable TRQ Management???

i have a 2004 silverado 6.0 built 4l60e and im wanting to remove the trq management and up the line pressure some so it will shift a little harder and faster.
how much is to much to increase?
how would i remove the trq management.?

If you have a built trans you want to keep the line pressures stock. TQ management can be removed through a tune.

i have hp tuners and im still learning how to use it and im trying to remove the tq management im just not sure how?

This ought to have you shopping for a 4L80E in short order:

In Editor, open Engine, go to Torque Management, under the General tab, click on Spark Retard vs. Torque Reduction, and zero out the table.

That is, if you really, really want to disable all spark retard related torque management. I think that is too much.

Personally, I would go to Transmission, Torque Mngmnt, Torque reduction, and experiment with the numbers in that table. Reduce them a little at a time until it shifts to your liking. Maybe 5% at a time.

im wanting it to shift harder and faster 1/2 right now is fine but the 2/3 shift feels like shit.
it take way to long to make the shift and its not firm at all. im hoping this will firm it up some.
if im wrong please tell me.

I think you want to start with the auto shift speeds under transmission. I was just making a point that you really don't want to remove all torque management. That is all I know, I'll bow out now.

I'm not a fan of upping the shift pressure in the tune either. It should be done with a shift kit.

Search on HPtuners forum. You can get detailed instructions on how to reduce/remove the TQ management.

I reduced TQM in regular mode and removed most of it in Performance mode (tow/haul) My .02

okay i understand the not increasing the line pressure.
i will leave that alone and the problem im having is
in normal mode every shift is fine
but when i put it in tow haul mode as soon as it shifts into 3rd the converter locks how do i stop that?
i thought it was just the tranny being sloppy but its just the converter locking up
thanks guys for all input.

In Editor, go to Transmission, Auto TCC, Apply/Release Speed, Performance (Same as Tow/Haul), A stock 2002 truck is set to lockup at 68 mph from 56.25% to 100% throttle. That is in 3rd gear. Add TCC Mode to your scanner table display and do some logging to show what throttle % and speed it is locking, then you can make adjustments.

I don't know how to add TCC Mode.
