Default Help: Found spliced cable coming from Brake Booster

Can someone help me to figure out what exactly this is, and why it might've been cut?

I noticed it after i did the drop on my truck, and it looks like it was cut and just covered up with electrical tape.
The truck seems to run normal, i will say this, i have had the brake fluid level go low a couple times, but other than that, nothing.

What year is the truck? That might help.

Looks to be a fairly heavy gauge wire so likely power to something. Acc power to trailer plug???

Not sure. I see the wire "Y's" into another wire going to the brake booster. FIgured someone could check it out in their truck and see if they have the lines running together.

Might just hook em back up and see if anything happens.

I don't have anything that looks like that around the booster on my '12 unless it is under the fuse box skirt.
