hard start after flashing tune

how come after every time I flash a new tune my truck wont hardly start and will only run for a second or two then shuts off?? then all the sudden its like something flips a switch and it runs fine.........:sigh:

ive had those problems several times.. no clue.

I am betting you are speed density, if so then it is because it has to set the MAF code and learn the idle trims as I was told. Mine does the same, it has done this since I went 2bar in 06'

sprayedenali 07-31-2013 07:48 PM

Yup, I'm SD. I wonder if I completely disable whatever code you're talking about it'll fix that..? Like instead of just having it set to no mil report or whatever it's called?

03sierraslt 07-31-2013 08:27 PM

It has to set in order for it to go into Speed density mode.

my 408 did that for a while. i have no clue what charlie did to fix it but it fired right up after every tune after he messed with it. i want to say it was in the base idle airflow table? i'm probably wrong.

Mine does the same. A lot of vehicles actually do that and are still using the maf.

TXsilverado 08-01-2013 09:35 AM
