Default gen 4 5.3 tuning

i have tuned several gen 3 cars and trucks and got it down good but my buddy wants me to tune his 2013 sierra with the 5.3 and i pulled the tune and it is completely different. from what i heard its basically just tunning the maf and it virtually creates a ve table but i have no idea to do it. i have looked around hp tuners forum, ls1 tech and on here and most of it seems to be for gen 3 older stuff. does any body have any links or can point me in the right direction to tune gen 4 stuff?

honestly if you can tune a gen III a GenIv isnt much harder as long as youre tuning the genIII correctly

Well I think the problem is I tune all my Gen 3 stuff with a wideband. So how do I tune a maf without a wideband

same way you did it on a genIII....Pretty much most NA setups you dont need a wideband to tune off of

But on a Gen 3 you tune the ve and bring the maf in to match but there isn't a ve to bounce it off of.

Gen 3 MAF and Gen 4 MAF are dialed in the exact same way... Only difference is you turn dynamic airflow off in a gen 4 so its running solely off the MAF sensor.

Hptuners forum has multiple threads on tuning subjects like this. Also on LS1 tech

i'm interested in this as well, never tuned a gen 4. so what if i wanted to run a speed density tune on a gen 4 and delete the maf, and tune it with a wideband. i could still do that right? just tune the ve table solely
