Expert tuners advice on timing advance vs octane/compression

5.3L motor 862 heads 210/218 .584/.584 116+4Lsa

For 9.5 compression with 87 octane what is a typical degree advance range?

with 93?

Getting my 862s milled .03 putting my compression around 10.1

Im curious as to how much timing I could run with 87 octane compared to 93 octane with 10.1 compression

10.5:1 / 26,27* on 93* I've squeeze more tiiming on track only.
the only way to figure this out , by checking the spark plugs after every timiing adjustment.

I run 27/28 degrees of timing, alternating between 87 and 89 octane. Sometimes I get kr at low rpms, but never wot. I'm running the stock 9.5 compression ratio. I've got a buddy with a tbss that runs 22-24 degrees on 93 octane with 10.9 compression ratio, stock everything.
