Default EFIlive noob. Truck wont idle

Truck is a 03 1500 2wd. I just swapped the stock 4.8/4l60 for a 6.0/4l80 with a small cam. 226/231 .605/.598 113+4. I figured out how to do the segment swaps for a stock 6.0 and 80e and it came right to life the first time I hit the key. It idled and sounded good. Only code was random misfire. I installed a AEM wideband and the driveshaft today and had hoped to take it for a first drive to see what the air fuels look like but it couldnt maintain idle once it got warmed up. I know nothing about tuning a gas truck. I have been playing with diesels for years and thats why I have EFIlive and would like to learn it and continue to use it. Hoping some one can help so I can get it on the road to start logging and making small adjustment because as of right now I cant drive it.

I am just guessing it's an LQ4?

Adjust your desired Idle in gear RPM up. It's 575 at it's lowest when warming up.

Try 650 first at 133 degrees and hotter. Might be in the 700-750 range to keep it running in gear with a cam like that.

I kept tweeting that up and stopped playing with it when I had the whole table at 1350 and it still couldn't idle.

Idle is only part of it.

You've changed how the engine breathes. The base running airflow table needs adjusting along with idle spark advance.

I figured that was what was going on when I couldn't keep the demanded idle. So looking for some direction on what to change and by how much. I have found info specific to HPtuners but not much for EFI.

Add a 3-4 grams of base idle air. Set 20 degrees of timing in P/N and In-Gear tables up to .44 g/cyl and 1200 rpm, and then blend (linear fill). Monitor idle trims and idle spark to see what it happening as the engine warms up. Too much idle air, you will see lower than commanded timing to order to achieve target idle RPM. Opposite for too little. I prefer less timing and more airflow so the there is more instant torque reserve (timing) available to manage idle speed.

If it runs bad warm, check your O2 trims (STFT) and adjust your MAF and VE tables accordingly (usually take airflow out). Make sure there are no intake or exhaust leaks that are being picked up by the O2 and flooding the engine as a result due to a fake lean condition.

This should get you going.

That worked. Thanks Now on to step 2. Log and adjust. Also most of my pids selected have a red x over them.

Cool!!

Make sure the ignition is on, connect to vehicle, and then select the drop down menu that says validate PIDs. If they are valid for the controller, they should change colors.
