Default Efan install and now speedo says transmission stuck in 1st

Hey guys, perhaps you could help me out because I've never seen this one before.

I did an efan install on a guy's tbss and everything went smooth. Fans work and everything, we go to turn it on and everything works great, then I look at the speedo and it says that the transmission is in 1st gear when it's in park.

All the gears still work fine and there's no problems with the drivetrain but the speedo constantly says it's in 1st gear no matter if I'm in park, neutral, drive, etc.
If anybody has ever seen a problem like this, please give me some ideas. I'm hoping it's a blown fuse or a connector I didn't replace, but no luck so far. I'm gonna read the code tomorrow and see what it is.

Thanks

Update 6/14
We've tried:
unhooking battery overnight
checking cables to pcm/tcm
disconnecting efans
checking a/c wire
plugging back in clutch fan
check fuses for everything relevant

The truck:
Won't read codes(even the dealer can't)
It goes in and out of limp mode
The CEL comes on and off(more on than off)
The fans run fine when the truck is on(a/c commands them right too)
The speedo also doesn't work and the gear indicator is stuck on "1" even though it will work in all gears.
Here's the most interesting thing:
When I went to check some of the cables on the PCM, it gave me a small shock. I have NO IDEA what this means but I'm sure it's not good.

how did you wire them up . . . off the PCM wires . . . or manual?

it's off the pcm wire number 56. The fans work fine and everything, and I checked to make sure each pcm connector was on there good. Like I said, there's nothing mechanically wrong with it just the gear selector constantly shows 1st gear. All gears still work fine though so I'm pretty sure it's not the neutral safety switch or whatever it's called that people break to often.

hmm, it sounds like it has something to do with the neutral safety switch.
Did you read the code?

I haven't been able to read the code yet. I live about 30 minutes away from the guy.

Also, I thought with the neutral safety switch it would actually prevent the transmission from going into gear? Maybe not, I'll just have to read the code and take it from there.

Yes that's correct. On the tbss' you use pin 56 instead of pin 42

hey guys I tried to scan his truck today and see what the codes read and it wouldn't read anything?
I don't have the latest version of EFI Live(I have 7.3) but I'm pretty sure that version supports tbss'. At this point I'm running out of ideas on what to do.I don't think it's the neutral safety switch because I don't see how it could have gotten messed up or anything. I didn't touch anything

OK guys another update. The Scan tool WILL not connect. The truck will idle fine but it will not drive. You can put it in drive, but it will not run. It just dies.

Does anybody have any ideas? I've tried searching for this problem but nobody seems to have had a similar experience.

Thanks
