Edelbrock Pro flo xt
#1
I have got a rebuilt 5.3 LM7 off of ebay with all the stock wiring and even the foot pedal. I am turbocharging this thing and I am a confident fabricator.
My question is, how easy is this system to work with? How does it work? Does it replace the stock wiring and computer?
Same with EFI Live. I have no real strong idea on how these things work or what they replace.
Anything is welcome, I want to learn.

The Edelbrock intake is exactly that, an intake. They also have fuel rails available, not sure about injectors. I believe that you need to get a compatable throttle body also, and possibly an integration harness depending on which throttle body you get. Might need new injector connectors also, depending on which injectors are used. It's still fairly new so there hasn't been a ton of testing on it yet, but from what I've read here, it's a direct bolt in and clears all of the accessories. You use your existing PCM and harness. Search the Internal Engine Section for "Edelbrock", and you should find a few threads about the intake.
EFILive is tuning and scanning software, it's excellent and powerful, but there's a big learning curve. You've got to know what you're doing or you could cause something catastrophic to happen to your engine or trans. A lot of guys learn by trial and error, and there are classes available, but I believe that you may have to travel.
