Diablo Custom Tunes???

Just installed performance 93 octane tune and am looking to do more, but I am challenged on how to get a more "custom tune". A dealer in Omaha said to download the tune and then bring my truck up and give him $210 to put it on the Dyno. Then he may be able to "custom tune" my truck. He was very vague and didnt explain much.

On my Diablo, it has a 93 and 87 octane performance tune. Other than being different octanes, whats the difference gonna be? (yep, I am a noob at this)

Also, I have seen 100 posts on here and/or on other sites from guys who get "custom tunes" from a diablo dealer. (over the internet) Who can steer me in that direction for downloaded "custom tunes".

Try contacting Willie @ Diablo Sport directly.
I have rcv'd a few e-mail tunes from him myself.
You just download your current tune from truck, upload it to your pc and e-mail it to him. He will make changes and return via e-mail. You then just download new tune from pc and upload to truck.

I have a dioblo and have been doing the email tunes for the last six months. I have been very disapointed. When my a/c comes on the truck looses power. It feels like your pulling a 15,000 pound trailer with a bungy strap. It took 2 months to get a toon that wouldn't set a p0741. When I changed gear ratios it wouldn't make the changes. The toon I received made speedo off even worse. The guy said I had to send my early dioblo back in and get it updated. I called dioblo today to find out where to send it and how long it would take after setting on hold for 45 minutes I decided to cut my losses and get efi live. My suggestion would be to skip the handhelds and get a dyno tune by someone that know trucks.

Can't speak for anyone else there, but Willie has done well w/ mine. He has even sent me a couple tunes at once so that i could try both and decide which one worked best. The first one I had him do was for the ProCharger, then one for gear change, then a couple others since.
It makes common sense that a live dyno tune is the best, but when you already have a tuner and the guy seems to hit his mark each time vs. the cost of a dyno tune seems to be a no brainer.
If I had enough knowledge to do them myself, I would definitely have the software as well.

Maybe you should try willie as harold suggests before poping for a dynotune. The best tunning is done while driving in real world conditions. Some dynos don't load the trucks enough to simulate real driving conditions. You should make sure you tell him everthing you have done. Tell him what your fuel trims are when idleing, and at cruise. You should also tell him what your 02s read at wot. He can also adjust the way your trans shifts. More than the dioblo does. Keep track of your kr too. Good luck maybe willie will do you better than my guy did me. What does a willie tune cost?

i had my AFR head and cammed +more TBSS tuned with a Diablo on a dyno and on the road with the chipmaster software diablo offers. you can tune most any parameters such as the hptuners allows for. worked great!
