What is involved in changing the pcm out? Is this what all tuners do, they send you a new pcm with the tuned stuff on it then you send the stocker back?

Usually you have 2 options... You can send them yours to have it programmed, which leaves you down for a couple days, or you can have them send you one and you send your stock one back, and when they get yours, they refund the "core charge".

i enjoyed my predator. i got it because i wanted to be able to switch between gas mileage tunes and power tunes. this thing stores 4 different tunes on it plus the stock tune that i can flip between so i had a gas 87 octane economy tune, a 91 octane economy tune, an 87 power tune, and a 91 power tune that i could flip between. now that i have time (started new job), i am selling my the predator for some self tuning software but the predator definitely helped (although i expect to get better gains with the software). if you are interested in the predator let me know

I definitely want to get a custom tune, maybe one from nelson or one of the other sponsors. So let me get this straight - they send me another PCM with the tune, and I just swap it out?

I don't even know where the PCM is...

sorry i wasn't in the conversation this weekend i can only get online on the week days. the tuner i was talking about you drive your truck to them and they put it on a dyno right then and tune the computer in the truck. this is nice cause you can tell them what you want the truck to do at what time. I'm still reseaching vengence and just found out about others closer to mid ga that i'm going to look into also.I'll let you know what i find if you like.

yes that is true but you have to pay for the dyno and tuning time and wideband as well.. so thats probley a 100 or so extra depending on how much time it take to tune.good luck at keep us updated
