Default Crazy Fuel Trims

Bank 2 catalytic converter was going bad, throwing P0430 every day and Bank 1 threw a P0420 once. Replaced Y-Pipe with Magnaflow Y-pipe and new cats. On 93 octane gasoline, the alcohol content was reset to 3% and Fuel Trims also reset (300 miles ago).

With bad cats, LTFTs were usually about -1 to -2 on Bank 1 and -2 to -3 on Bank 2.

Engine has always run strong, never a misfire, has always gotten poor mileage and makes 302 rear wheel horsepower at the drag strip.

This Tech2 Snapshot was taken at idle in park, then in drive, then into a turn lane and stopping for oncoming traffic, then accelerating on the ramp to speed on the highway, about 90 seconds.

Do you see anything amiss here or something that could use improvement?

TIA.

Definitely looks rich most of the time. I shoot for +/-5% total trim at all times at part throttle. You look like you are 20ish off in some places.

So then is this something that can be adjusted by the tune or it is mechanical?

Pretty easy to tear up a catalyst with calibration changes. Quite a few ways to do it too. It would be a guessing game just looking at that video.

What other information might help? I still have the Snapshot saved and can pull up other data.

While the tune made the truck more driveable, it did nothing to improve gas mileage which was already sub-par since purchasing it last May.

What catalysts are they? Same location? O2 sensors in same location? Tune file?

The original y-pipe had had the right side cat replaced before I owned the truck and it went bad first. The entire Y-pipe was replaced by the Magnaflow 51578 with cats much larger than the originals. O2 sensors are in the same location. I have the original and modified tunes from BB on my computer. Can they be viewed somehow?

Guess it is also time to open the box the AutoCal came in.
