GM OBD1 Tuning, anyone still doing it?
Ive been looking and looking and all Ive found is a place called exatorq out of Dallas that says they tune gm OBD 1 vehicles but Ive sent several emails and even a pm on a forum to the guy with no response so im guessing they are no more.
Ive talked to Ed Wright at fastchip and he has a standard chip for 160 that said would be worth 8-12HP and would work with my bolt on mods, but i want to upgrade the cam and that would be a custom chip for 350.
Ive also talk to Brian at tbichips.com and he said that the 92 was a one year only setup and he couldn't tune it, but i know they used the same 16156647 ECM on the newer S10's with the 4.3 CPI engines and some of those he has tuned.
The truck is a 92 GMC Sonoma GT with the 4.3 CPI and Ive tried to several data logging programs and cant get any of them to connect to the PCM, they all say PCM detected but i cant get any data to flow.
