Is the bullydog tuner capable of custom tuning as you add upgrades. I was told by a mechanic that the 40410 model could.

 

Researched it myself. No bully dog tuner offers on the fly custom tuning. You can download tunes from dealers and store up to ten on the 40417. My 40410 is essentially the same as the base with some cali specs. So if I've never done a custom tune myself would it be better to take it to a shop for the tune or is the tune pretty simple?

 

Only thing I would use a bully dog for it temp alarms, actually that's all I do. Do yourself a favor and get EFI love from black bear or Nelson performance or any other vendor, or HP tuners. I have been more then happy with my Blackbear service. I'm upgrading to boost bigger transmission, pcm upgrade for efans and third set of injectors and he always gets the work done fast. It's all by email and they tutorials typed up and YouTube videos on how to. A shop with a dyno may dial it in faster and better, but unless you got a shot ton of mods email tune should be fine. I'm Shure someone else may tune in

 

Bullydog is just an SCT tuner now days so yes you can have tunes written by guys that do SCT just like Diablo, Efilive or HP.
