Default Anyone here using the Dynamic EFI EBL flash system for TBI????

Reason I'm asking is because I'm on the verge of finally finishing up the tbi to vortec heads conversion in my '87 Chevy 4x4 P/U. I researched the custom chip or stage2 ecm chip from tbichips but someone told me about the EBL flash system from Dynamic EFI. I'm not too keen on being stuck with a custom prom chip if it isn't performing right. I'd rather have the ability to fine tune and have control of every aspect of the performance on my truck.

DynamicEFI

Thoughts, comments, input, pro's, con's.........

Thanks in advance!!

Wes

Yes sir, I use it on a 1995 454 tbi. Its a tow rig. Changed to the vortec heads, headers, small comp roller cam, roller rockers, 4bbl dual plane carb intake and electric cooling fan. Absolutley love it, works just like hp tuners/efi live. There is absolutely no reason not to get it. And Bob's customer service and support after the purchase is amazing. Unlimited possibilities.

Also, go to 454ss.com and thirdgen.org. Both sites have a lot of guys running EBL. Thirdgen would be best for you with a small block. BobR, the guy who developed EBL, is an active poster there, you will get a good sense of what kind of guy he is and how helpful he is.

After literally going through Bob's website with a finetooth comb, viewing the tuning procedures, WUD, etc., I'm sure this is the route for me. After working out the bugs on my rebuilt 350 tbi with vortec heads, new fuel pumps in each tank, injectors, adjustable fpr, distributor, custom made sparkplug wires, etc., the current ECM chip still has me limited to the stock parameters. Don't get me wrong, after smoothing out the ignition timing and fuel issues my truck runs great but I want to go to the next step and beyond without investing in a one time programmed ECM chip. $350+ for the custom chip and $430 for Bob's EBL flash system....think I know which direction to go!

Appreciate the input!!

I use it on a sbc 355 with a lot of mods and it has worked great for me....the nice thing is if you ever add some thing to your setup... relearn is very easy...data logging was very helpful for fine tuning and I also got the tt-1 wide band and controller which worked as well as the dyno's wideband....very good units
