Update,
I did some rough modeling of my current design idea.
Here are a couple pics.
The parts will be aluminum. I'm thinking black anodized would look best, unless somebody wants the bling factor.
In the first position, the laptop will be positioned directly in front of the radio.
Top of screen will not be higher than the dash.

In the second position, the laptop will be positioned to the right side of the radio. all controls on dash accessible.

The base will not interfere with the cupholder area, and there will be room for cups, etc under the computer.
It will be secured to the frame of the console.

I have an 01 with the full length console and power buckets. If you make one and need a test fitter for the 99-02 trucks drop me a line, Im very interested in one

Nice looking setup Wilde. You should do a tour of your cab and point out all those goodies in it.

Just wondering if your full-length console setup will fit the bench seat setup as well?

The current design would not work in a bench truck. I am working on some ideas for those trucks though. IMO the mounts that start from the passenger seat bolts will not be very stable.
My buddy has the bench/console setup, I'll look into it some more this weekend.

I started on the prototype parts for mine yesterday. My bushings will be here tomorrow. I hope to have the parts mounted tomorrow night.
