Anyone able to crack and tune 2014 up Silverado computers?

Anyone able to crack and tune 2014 up Silverado ECM?

I just had a guy tell me that I will not be able to Flash ECM and tune the engine and trans of the drive-train I want to use in my project.

I hope that is NOT the case...

Thank you,
Tony

ALOT of tuners are tuning these trucks... sounds like you need a new tuner

Hoping that guy is just some random schmuck and not a tuner lol. Full support with EFILive and HP.

Thank you guys for chiming in. Flashing and making it all work is way over my head.
Back when I last did engine conversions / swaps - call it what you like; I did not have to deal with computers. GRIN

Anyways, I am really hoping that I can get the following to run properly in a different vehicle than a Silverado or Corvette.

1. 2014 to 2016 4.3lt LV3 from a Silverado or Sierra (good HP & Torque for its size)
2. The hard or harder part of this conversion - is that I will have to use some of a Corvette 6L80e and some of a Silverado 6L80e transmission to make them bolt up the way I need and work. But I still need the factory computer and wiring to be able to control everything properly. (Possible problem with how the controller works with the Corvette and Truck Transmission)
3. Corvette differential mounted to the 6L80e. (Possible problem about how the newer ECM reads speed from the truck differential VS the Corvette is not the same)

LV3 - bolted to - 6L80e - bolted to - C6 Corvette Differential mounted in the back of this..

What excatly are you planning on doing running a silverado bellhousing with a vette output shaft and differential, if so the tcm should run your speedometer off of the oss of the trans, 2wd trucks as far as i remmeber and vettes both use the oss and coversion from gear ratio to run speedometer with wheel speed to rationalize them...

UV231 Project 10-15-2016 02:49 PM

Yes - you pictured it correctly. Taking whatever is needed from Truck trans and mating it with Corvette trans to get them to work.

I'm naive when it comes to ECM talk.. What is oss?
FYI - I was told that the way and where the truck gets or reads its speed is different than how the Corvette does it.

Having a speedometer is not the issue. Something to do with how the ECM would go into a loop or not work - with lack of info or improper info.

I was told that the fuel delivery was another concern.

I was also told that if the LV3 uses a E82 - EDIT or was it the E92 - that would make it harder to work in a different vehicle.

Maybe I will have to wait until business hours and ask the engine suppler - what ECM comes with the engine and the wiring harness.

So why exactly cant you run a typical truck axle in that?

Light bulb went off. OSS = Output Speed Sensor..

Rear engine setup is what I am doing and no room...

Other option is a FWD power-plant mounted in the back like a mid-engine setup.
