Default Aem x series wideband 30-0334

will this wideband work on a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500? If not what is a good wideband that will and is compatible with hptuners mvpi2?

Yes it'll work, I use it on my turbo truck currently, functions just like a wideband should.

Hopefully you read this before buying one.

The person above is right and wrong at the same time. Yes that wideband can work with HP Tuners but it will not work as it is sold because 2006 is not CAN-BUS. You must own a CAN-BUS vehicle for that wideband to plug into the OBD2 port and then into HP Tuners with zero extra wiring or calibrating the wideband to work.

Because you are running the older P01/P59 style controllers the cheaper version is what you are after. The regular AEM's without can-bus go for around $160 compared to that one at around $220-230ish.

The MPVI2 also can not have the wideband wired into it as of yet, the pro features have not been released yet and it's an extra cost. You can purchase the cheaper wideband and wire the sensor into the computers EGR circuit because all you need is a 5v circuit that you are not using and 2006 does not use EGR. Wire it into the correct pins on the computer, enable the EGR in the tune, setup a speical channel to log the wideband and you are golden. Tons of people do it this way. Several youtube video's and threads about this. ERM Performance has a good video to watch.

Thank you! I’ll check out those videos. I was holding out for a few more comments just to be sure. Is the AEM 30-4110 the other one you are referring to?

I just bought the AEM 30-0300 X series it's the newer version of the 4110. It has the analog wires that can be run to the EGR and A/C 5v circuit to log wideband in HPTuners. I have the older MVPI Pro unit that has the green connectors to wire in the wideband. The newer MVPI2 will (eventually) have a "pro" software upgrade and a docking module to wire in analog inputs like the wideband (which you wouldn't need if you input through the EGR)
