I get it, that's just too much for me all around right now, from money to labor to getting an engine I don't know anything about, etc. I'd love an LQ9 but now is not the time.

If you weren't cheap and unwilling you wouldn't have come in here even mentioning the fact that you've done the math to determine that 91 is $13 a tank more lol. Gotta pay to play. You would have bought the parts and said to yourself, "whelp 91 it is" and never gave it a second thought

I'd also like to point out that every post I have made in this thread has provided suggestions, feedback or evidence of success in a very similar build with similar goals, that you have refused to acknowledge- yet not a single other knowledgeable person in this thread has refuted my points, and at least one I can think of has backed up my suggestions
You can either choose to heed my advice, or not- its not my truck or my build. If you want to let your opinion of a person you have never met and will never meet jade what you want to do with your truck- 100% on you my guy
You will make more power and be safer with 91, period. Irrefutable. And $13 extra is minuscule in comparison

All this talk of octane from PUMP gas, and mouse cams on stock compression Totally misses the most important parameter of a TOW rig, and that is GEAR RATIO.
Your first major choice to make is between 4.10, 4.56 or 4.88 gears.
What is tire diameter, and how much weight do you pull ?
