Default 4l60 to 4l80 swap reverse and second only

I have a 2005 silverado that came came with a 5.3 and a 4l60. I recently swapped in a 6.0 and a 4l80 out of a 2000 sierra 2500. My truck and the donor truck are both 4x4. I swapped the input shaft out of the donor trucks t case into my t case so i could keep my automatic transfer case. I switched the wires in the main plug like I was supposed to do, and I added the additional speed sensor and wired it to the computer. I'm using the computer that came stock in my truck. I took the truck to be tuned for the 6.0 and the 4l80 and my tuner tuned the truck for the new engine and trans but he can only get reverse and second. He can command the truck to go to different gears with a scanner but it will not shift on it's own. He said when he first wrote the new file, the truck took off in first and went to second then locked the converter and wont come back out of second again. I have checked my wiring and I have had others double check my wiring and everything is just like it is supposed to be. It has me stumped. This is my first post ever on here so if there is any information I have left out, I will post it asap. Thanks!

So it’s in limp mode.

I’ll ask the obvious questions:

1. Did your tuner do a proper segment swap?

2. How did you repin the harness?

3. Which sensor did you wire into the pcm and which plug did you use to connect it?

Thanks for the reply! I will have to wait until tomorrow to ask him how he did it. I would post the picture of the diagram that I followed for my repin but I can't get it to work. I removed pin S and U and put the brown wire in position S and I removed the white wire. I added the additional speed sensor to the computer and wired it to pins 22 and 23 in the computer.

It sounds like he didn't do a segment swap. He will need to do this in order for it to work. You cant just copy tables as there are hidden tables.

That sounds right.

THAT connector, goes to the front sensor. The 4l60 connector, goes to the rear sensor.

Check that as well.

If its not already said, please know the new rear speed sensor connector and the xfer case connectors are the same.

I got them mixed up during my swap which resulted in codes and being stuck in 2nd.

Thanks everyone for the replies. When my tuner was doing the segment swap he used tunes for a 2000 and my computer is a 2005. He went back in and used tunes from a 2005 and that fixed everything. Thanks everyone for the help!
