I was messing around a little with the rpm shift points on my predator, I left the 1-2 points stock at 5700 RPM
the 2-3 points I put to 5500 RPM

anybody got some advice? trying to accelerate a little faster? or maybe extend 2-3 to 90 mph?

 

Get Custom tuning thru that predator and you'll see more gains at those shift points .. The DiabloTunes are generic moderate tunes to accomodate all 4.8s ... Custom tunes are specific to your trucks data logs .. I personally have DiabLewtuned Custom Tuning .. But there are others i just dont know them ..

 

for reference, I have my WOT shift points at 6400 rpm and I have 170,000 miles on my 4.8. I think ill go up to 6600 too next time at the track. its pretty sweet shifting into 3rd around 100 mph

I remember when mine was doing 112 into third. Now it does it at 84, big difference. Dont know what im shiftin at but im pretty sure its way past 6k.

 

I got it shifting in to 84 now also, it feels good it was doing it at around 79 before so im happier, BUT I WANT 90+!
