2500 HD 8.1 help needed

2001 2500hd 8.1 6-speed manual transmission.

2 weeks ago I went out one cold morning and the truck would start then die.
Did that a bunch of times in a row.
I went out a couple hours later and didnt think I could hear the pump.
Banged on the bottom of the tank and then is started and ran.

Pulled it in the shop and put in a new pump and filter.
Seemed fine for a week or so.

This morning at the Gym is would crank but not start and after several tries it would fire up then die. The battery was very low at this point so I left it.
After 5 or 6 hours I went back and it fired up.

Pulled it in the shop and its back to starting and instantly dying.

The regulator seemed super loud so I replaced it.

Put a gauge on it and Im getting 55-60 with the key on and just under 50 when it starts and runs.
It then dies and the pressure stays the same.

I can keep it running on starter fluid it seems so i think its getting spark ok.

About every 10th try if I feather the pedal I can get it to rev up and then run for a bit ( 6-10 minutes ). It eventually dies. Fuel pressure stays the same.

When it dies I dont have to cycle the key, just bump the starter and it instantly fires up, then dies.

Searching around I see lots of Passlock issues. I have no security light on ever though. Im not sure this truck even has it. WT model with no PW/PL etc..

Fuel pressure seems good enough.

It seems like the truck starts and then the injectors are shut off. Like they are firing with the starter but not with the key on ?

Im lost here. Any ideas ?

No SES light and no codes stored.
