My truck alarm randomly goes off in the middle of the night. I just moved to a different apartment and its ironic because this used to happen to someone with a new escalade at my old apartments and I would always make fun about it...

Anyways is there anything I should check for? Its a stock alarm and the battery is 2months old. I read somewhere it could be the hood latch/sensor which would cause this and remote start to not work, which mine doesn't.

I bought the truck used so I don't know if the remote start is even installed, it does have the button on the factory key fob, and has nav/leather/heated seats/dvd/sunroof/power back glass from factory so im thinking it may have remote start.

Take it in to a dealer and get it checked I think in the early 07's and 08's gm came out with a revised hoodlatch due to sensor failures if my memory serves me correctly. gm has soo damm many bulletins it's hard to keep them all fresh in my mind.

Just wondering if this was resolved and what was the fix?
My 2008 2500hd GMC alarm goes off at night.

My 09 Colorado did the same thing. Ended up being overly sensitive fobs. Popped the batteries out, and hasn't done it since. I don't use my fobs so thats as far as I looked into it. They might need replaced.
