Default How to get more hp from eflive???

I have a 2000 5.3L silverado

One of my buddies was telling me about getting wide band 02 sensors so eflive could read the fuel/air mixture better.

Is this true or worth doing?

Are there any other upgrades that would allow me to get even more out of my next tune?

truck put down 274hp 338tq on 20's before the cam swap. All bolt on's done

Xtreme hp tuned it but they went out of business $300 first tune $150 for 2nd tune when I put longtubes on it.

Now I am going to Speedtech in Fort Worth. They want $500 < stupid but I don't have any other options that I know of.

That's what I mean!!! with wide band O2 sensors will it allow them to squeeze more hp/tq out of the little 5.3L using the eflive tuning. lol

If they are gonna charge $500 and dont use a wideband.. i wouldnt waste my time..
You can buy EFI Live and learn yourself for less than your fixing to spend.. 300+150+500... $950

$899 for the V2.

You need a special key for the Infinity Sign...

if you're tuning without a wideband then you're really just guessing on some very important parameters...a good, experienced tuner can do that with mostly stock engines with acceptable results but the more modifications you have the more critical A/F ratios from a wideband become. even stock engines have variences and require a wideband to be tuned to their full potential. besides performance, not having accurate A/F ratios can also result in engine damage if you run it hard and it leans out on you. unless you find a good tuner you can go to in person check out the site sponsors for a mail in tune, takes a bit longer but they'll do a better job than a half assed tune in person. i dunno where Wheatley is located but Nelson's in San Antonio i believe if you're up for a lil drive.
