um, ok
The part about there being TWICE as much capacity in there....
seems like that makes LOTS of possibilities,
could it be possible to have TWO different operating systems, and switch on the fly- like from street to track, or like economy to Richard racer....?
like an economy button on the dash of a Honda?
like multiple Eprom switching was possible with some of Moates equipment?

Digital Inflection Corporation I believe is the company that made it. There are a few tuners that offer the modification.
Here is the website OmniTuner Home

I had a dual flash chip pcm... It's really not needed. If you are or have a good tuner, then they can set the tune up for optimum performance while cruising and for performance. I ended up taking it off and selling it cuz it was more of a novelty than a performance gain.
As far as PCM's, just because it has more memory, doesn't mean GM used it wisely, lol. The dbw takes up a lot of that is really more hassle than it's worth. The 512mb PCM's are just simple and work! That's why people use them more.
The only bonus the the 1024 pcm's have it the ability to set up flex fuel easier but you can still do it with the 512, just a little harder I believe and you have to have the right operating system too. It's been awhile since I messed with them, lol.
