Other mods before tune

Since all of the 2011+ guys are waiting for a tune, I was wondering what else could we do in the meantime? I read Flaco's thread where he's done the intake, throttle body, and headers and picked up 24whp without a tune. But I've read others talking about a 180 degree thermostat but is this really good for our trucks? I know a lot of newer vehicles are finicky when it comes to engine temp and may actually run richer before it reaches full normal temperature (200-205 degrees according to my truck).

I guess I'm asking that same old boring question. What are the best boltons for these trucks? What are the 09-10 guys having good luck with? Brand specifics would be nice too. Thanks guys.

we could always spray a small shot, IMO I don't think the thermostat would do anything. I do think just like you that it may run a lil richer than before and from Flacos post's they seem to be pig rich to start with.

Im doing this ........

On sept 26th im installing

1 7/8 ARH headers
Mufflex 14" magnaflow
Catch can Diablo sport

Im waiting still on my Bwoody CAI and 180* stat
The place that Bwoody gets its pipe from was hit in the hurricane weeks ago and there are running 6 weeks behind schedule.

Then its gonna be a custom tune from Pur Performance via Diablosport when it gets here. Stock tune SUCKS!!
