hypertech issue

Default hypertech issue

has anyone ever herd of a hypertech on a 03 silverado get locked to the vehicle thats its programed to...it will let go to the part were you can change the perimeters but as soon as you tell it to set it, it tells you a code wich i cant remimber and to call hypertech...my friend called them and they said unhook the battery then hook it back up...still doesnt work....anyone have or had this issue

I think hypertechs lock down after they have been installed/un-installed on three vehichles. The third vehicle is the last one that can be programed then you have to call hypertech and have them un-lock it.

all they said was to unplug the battery...my friend couldnt get that much help from them...i told him he should of got a real tune

That sucks. Has your friend called them back to tell them their "fix" didn't work. They may have to have him mail it in to have the handheld reflashed.
